Good to Know: The HGD310 is a modem only. It does not include Wi-Fi. You will need a separate wireless router or mesh system to create a Wi-Fi network. It is also not compatible with DSL or fiber providers such as AT&T, Verizon, or CenturyLink.

About the Dual Ethernet Ports: If your internet plan includes only one IP address (which is standard for most residential plans), use just one Ethernet port. To use both ports independently with separate devices, you will need two IP addresses from your provider. For link aggregation (combined 2 Gbps throughput), both your internet plan and your connected router or PC must also support link aggregation.
